TheraB Medical Appoints Chris Mathia as Chief Executive Officer to Lead Next Phase of Growth
[May 15, 2025] — TheraB, a medical device company focused on innovations in the treatment of neonatal jaundice, is excited to announce the appointment of Chris Mathia as Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately.
With over two decades of experience in healthcare technology, sales, operations, and executive leadership, Mathia brings a wealth of expertise to TheraB. Most recently, he served as CEO of Innara Health, where he led the company through a strategic reorganization, 510(k) solution redesign, FDA submission, and commercial launch, ultimately leading to its acquisition by Cardinal Health in 2023. During his tenure, Mathia played a pivotal role in advancing the adoption of the NTrainer System, a 510(k)-cleared device designed to improve feeding outcomes for newborns and infants born prematurely.
“We are delighted to welcome Chris as TheraB’s new CEO,” said TheraB founder Alexa Jones. “His proven ability to scale healthcare companies, navigate regulatory challenges, and drive commercial success makes him the ideal leader to guide us into our next phase. I look forward to working alongside him as I transition into my new role as Chief Product and Innovation Officer.”
Mathia’s appointment comes at an opportune time for TheraB as the company prepares for FDA 510(k) clearance and the market launch of its flagship solution, the SnugLit. The SnugLit is a wearable technology in the form of an infant swaddle, designed to treat neonatal jaundice while fostering parent-infant bonding and promoting mobility.
“I am thrilled to join TheraB in their mission to improve outcomes for infants and families affected by neonatal jaundice,” said Mathia. “I was immediately impressed by Alexa’s progress as well as the innovative design of the SnugLit. The comprehensive body coverage provided by the SnugLit swaddle is not only familiar, but its portability increases opportunities for bonding without interrupting treatment, helping to reduce the isolation that parents and infants often experience with traditional jaundice treatments.”
