TheraB Medical Chosen as Finalist for Parkview Health and MATTER’s Healthy Mom and Baby Innovation Competition and Accelerator
EAST LANSING, MICH. (June 30, 2020) – TheraB Medical has been chosen as a finalist for Parkview Health and MATTER’s 2020 Healthy Mom and Baby Innovation Competition. This competition seeks entrepreneurs who have found innovative ways to reduce infant mortality rates, whether it’s through products, software, or programs. After previously being chosen as 1 of 10 semi-finalists, TheraB’s CEO Alexa Jones virtually presented SnugLit on June 1, 2020. Upon completion of this round of the competition, TheraB was chosen as 1 of 5 finalist teams.
As a finalist, TheraB will be working with leaders from Parkview Health, MATTER, and Management Performance Hub to aid in the development and commercialization of SnugLit throughout a three month long virtual accelerator. At the end of this accelerator, all of the finalist teams will present their final solutions to healthcare professionals, Parkview leaders, and outside investors on September 17, 2020. Finalists will not only be pitching ideas for possible funding and pilot opportunities but will also receive a one-year global membership at MATTER.
“We are excited to work with Parkview and MATTER over the next 3 months,” says Alexa Jones. “We look forward to working with health experts from both the hospital and MATTER to assess how SnugLit can best be used to provide value to health systems like Parkview.”
TheraB Medical is an East Lansing-based medical device company developing SnugLit- the first completely portable and wearable treatment for infant jaundice.
